Every spring lawyers, judges and professors gather from across the state to support the LBF's mission. Now in its 23rd year, the Annual Fellows Gala was held Friday, April 17, 2009 at the W New Orleans Hotel, 333 Poydras Street. Cocktails, in conjunction with a silent auction began at
6:30 p.m. and dinner and presentations followed at 7:30 p.m. A patron party was held the evening before in New Orleans.
This year we honored Distinguished Jurist Justice Bernette J. Johnson, Distinguished Attorney Edward J. Walters, Jr. and Distinguished Professor Cheney C. Joseph, Jr. Also honored will be the Innocence Project New Orleans as the first Calogero Justice Award recipient.
