With a minimum gift of $10,000, you, your family, law firm or organization can establish a named fund. In addition to providing support to further the mission of the Louisiana Bar Foundation, your fund will provide a lifetime gift to the agency of your choice.

Donors choose a specific non profit organization as the beneficiary of an interest income-generated grant. If an agency ceases to exist or the purpose for which a fund was created becomes obsolete, the Board of Directors may redirect the fund to best achieve the basic intent of its donor.
Donor Designated Fund Form

Support programs, projects and initiatives in a specific area of funding. Income from these funds is expended at the discretion of the Board, but only in the specified fields of charitable concern as determined by the donors. Fields of interest include: Building Capital Development, Children’s Legal Services, Law Related Education, Legal Assistance to the Poor, Loan Repayment Assistance Program and Jock Scott Community Partnership Panels.

Best suited to meet emerging needs or opportunities in the community. Donors place no restrictions on how their funds are used and decisions are left to our Board of Directors. Because of the contemporaneous leadership of these funds, they are the most timeless in terms of community impact.
Unrestricted Fund Form

Allow individual donors the privilege of recommending different charitable organizations as beneficiaries each year. Pursuant to the Internal Revenue Service requirements and Board policy, the ultimate discretion for beneficiary selection remains with our Board of Directors.
