Purpose of the Award

The Louisiana Bar Foundation Grantee Award for Excellence in Service and Programming recognizes a grantee for an innovative, imaginative program and/or public service in the legal arena.

The award will emphasize the following criteria:

• innovativeness/creativity of the idea
• efficiency of execution
• outcomes of the project or program
• ability to be duplicated by other service programs and to be proven flexible enough to change course as emerging needs arise.

Award Guidelines

Current year grantees are eligible for the award.

The accomplishments of the project/programs goals should be publicly recognized as successful and established for a sufficient length of time to be considered.

The award winner will be honored during the Annual Fellows Luncheon held in conjunction with the LSBA Annual Meeting at Sandestin Resort in Destin, Florida.

The grantee may be nominated by one of its trustees or staff members or by anyone familiar with the program/project.

The LBF Nomination Form must be fully completed and received by the close of business on Friday, April 11, 2008.
