The Legal Community Responds

Together, the Louisiana Bar Foundation and the Louisiana State Bar Association played an instrumental role in responding to disaster related legal service needs throughout the state. Through the generous support of donors across the country, we have been able to:

• Award eight disaster related grants to legal service agencies
• Establish the Legal Assistance Call Center
• Award 773 grants to attorneys
• Fund three business centers
• Host two AmeriCorps attorneys
• Re-employ public service attorneys
• Award infrastructure grant
• Grant money for office furniture
• Develop a legal services data collection & analysis project
• Sponsor an ABA technology seminar
• Distribute holiday grants to domestic violence centers
