Louisiana Bar Foundation’s 20th Annual Fellows Gala

Join the Louisiana Bar Foundation (LBF) on Friday, May 5 at the nationally celebrated Houmas House Plantation in Gonzales. Special guests of honor will be the LBF’s 2005 Distinguished Jurist, Hon. Jay C. Zainey, U. S. District Court; Distinguished Professors, Dean Brian Bromberger from Loyola University School of Law and Chancellor Freddie Pitcher, Jr. of Southern University Law Center; and Distinguished Attorney Mr. H. Alston Johnson III, of Phelps Dunbar. The theme "Rebuilding Louisiana Begins with the Foundation," celebrates the importance of the LBF to Louisiana’s recovery.
This event promises to be spectacular. Exceptional dining awaits you with Houmas House Chef Jeremy Langlois who received national recognition for the plantation’s restaurant Latil’s Landing, named one of the country’s top 20 restaurants in Esquire. Abbreviated tours of the restored historical plantation and gardens will be offered to our guests.
Cocktails begin at 7pm in honor of the Fellows class of 2005 and class of 1986. Dinner will follow at 8pm in conjunction with a silent auction. A patron party will be held the on Thursday, May 4 at the home of Dr. and Mrs. John Fraiche.
Rooms are available at The Cook Hotel on LSU’s campus starting at $93 until April 12. Call the hotel directly at 225-383-2665 to make reservations.
Round trip transportation is available by reservation only for $10 per person. The busses will run from The Cook Hotel to the Houmas House and from New Orleans to the Houmas House. A patron party will be held the evening before the dinner, on Thursday, May 4.
Tickets to the dinner are $100 per person. Sponsorships including patron party and dinner tickets are also available.
