Louisiana Bar Foundation Seeks a Development Director
As the first Development Director of the Louisiana Bar Foundation, this staff member will work with the Board of Directors, the Resource Development Committee, the Executive Director and other staff to shape and create a comprehensive development program, including an annual fund, major gifts and special projects.
Responsibilities include the creation and implementation of a comprehensive plan to meet budget needs and build reserves; the identification, cultivation and solicitation of contributions with volunteers from individuals, foundations and corporations; the development and support of an effective statewide volunteer resource network; the development and implementation of strategies for an annual fund drive, major gifts and planned giving campaigns; the building and sustaining of relationships with donors; and the development of a comprehensive plan to promote the organization to its donors and maximize public awareness of the activities of the LBF.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in the field of communications, preferably marketing, and five or more years’ experience and success in coordinating development activities for a nonprofit service agency.
