Chair of the Public Information Committee and LBF immediate past president, John G. Swift, presented four Lake Charles agencies with a total of $229,734 on Friday, October 22, at the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association's Annual meeting. These four agencies provide critical services to the Lake Charles area. Six local banks were also awarded certificates of appreciation for participating in the Interest On Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) as ANo Fee@ banks.

On Saturday, October 23, LBF's Laura Sylvester presented $4,000 to the Louisiana State Bar Association's (LSBA) Young Lawyers Section (YLS) Law-Related Project in Lafayette.

At the Lafayette Parish Bar Association's annual banquet on Thursday, November 11, LBF President, David F. Bienvenu awarded the Lafayette Parish Bar Foundation Pro Bono Project with $20,050.

On January 24, Judge Wendell Manning will make presentations to 2005 Grantees in the Monroe area at the Monroe Bar Associations Annual Meeting.
