2016 Flood Recovery
With generous support from donors across the country, the Louisiana Bar Foundation established the Flood Recovery Fund to address victims’ legal needs including homeowners’ insurance, title clearing and federal aid eligibility utilizing community-based, clinic models in conjunction with FEMA’s disaster recovery centers following the 2016 floods. The LBF Board of Directors approved additional LBF funding to assist flood victims with legal needs.
Grants fund full time staff attorneys and pro bono project coordinators and were awarded to:
